February Webinar: Implementing the Every Student Succeeds Act
The next GIA webinar, Implementing the Every Student Succeeds Act in Your State and Local Community, will be held on Tuesday, February 28 at 1pm EST / 10am PST. The Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) enacted in 2015 included several important arts education provisions that will systemically embed the arts into K–12 public education. In this session, Alex Nock from Penn Hill Group will discuss how the new Administration will implement these provisions. Nock will also discuss how funders and organizations working at the local level can use the opportunities provided in ESSA to advocate for the arts as a systemic part of state education, including articulating state strategies for providing all students with equitable access to a well-rounded education.
