Planning During a Time of Unknowns: 2020 GIA Annual Conference
Since early March, we at Grantmakers in the Arts have been navigating the coronavirus pandemic with patience and flexibility. Our first priority will continue to be the health and safety of our members and our staff.
While we do not yet know what the Fall will bring, we are hopeful that we will be able to gather – whether in-person or remotely – as we work toward a future we want, together.

GIA’s May Member Spotlight
First Nations Development Institute is GIA’s May Member Spotlight. Through its Native Arts Initiative, First Nations Development Institute has awarded over $2.2 million to Native-led nonprofits and tribal programs since 2014 to help build and strengthen their traditional Native arts programming and organizational capacity. Grantmakers in the Arts Advocates for Life-Long Arts-Engagement
Grantmakers in the Arts is delighted that Congress has passed the Supporting Older Americans Act, including our recommendations that the Administration on Aging include the arts in the issues to be identified and addressed and be included among supportive services for older Americans.
