Stay Tuned for Upcoming Details of the 2020 GIA Virtual Convening
The registration for the 2020 GIA Virtual Convening will be opening next month. As we prepare for a new kind of annual gathering this November, we share with you work from Mequitta Ahuja, who will provide this year’s art. Syrian visual artist Diana Al-Hadid describes Ahuja’s practice as both powerful and discursive, “Her mission is to change the expectation of the self-portrait, in particular of women or people of color, who are expected to mine their personal biographies as case studies in our social condition.” Learn more about her work here.
