Where will registration be?
The Lab (3rd Floor) will be the space for conference registration as well as the special event space for the Leadership Circle reception.
The Lab is centrally located at 1330 Broadway at 14th Street. This is a few blocks from the Oakland City Center Marriott (which is at Broadway and 11th Street).
Where will the Sunday October 21 preconferences be?
- After Ghost Ship: Supporting artist-led solutions to equitable and accessible space development will be at Oakstop (1721 Broadway #201, Oakland, CA 94612)
- Culture at the Intersection of Race, Space, and Place will be at Oakland Center (1000 Broadway, Grand Lake Suite)
- Exploring Oaktown: ALAANA cultural and community tour will start at Miss Ollie’s for breakfast (901 Washington St, Oakland, CA 94607)
Where will the breakfast and lunch plenaries, keynote, and other events be?
The Newcomers Reception on Sunday October 21 evening at 6pm will take place at the California Ballroom at 1736 Franklin Street.
The Welcome Reception on Sunday at 7pm, the plenaries, and IDEA LAB presentations (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday breakfasts and lunches) will be at Tortona Big Top Tent at 1911 Telegraph Avenue.

Where should I stay?
As regards accommodations: It seems many attendees will simply remain at the Marriott. Some will pursue AirBNB or VRBO. There may be rooms or suites available at other rates at the discretion of the hotel.
