For four consecutive weeks during July and August of 2011, Julie Fry, Program Officer, Performing Arts for The William & Flora Hewlett Foundation, and Barry Hessenius of Barry’s Blog (http://blog.westaf.org/) hosted an ongoing discussion on arts education and the myriad of issues and challenges facing the field. Twenty-six arts education leaders from across the country agreed to participate as guest bloggers, answering and responding to specific questions put to them by the hosts. This document is a compilation of the entries, reflection questions, and responses by readers.
