Commissioned by the Skoll Foundation, this study examines new ways that funders in the emerging area of social entrepreneurship measure the success of their grantees, and it weighs the strengths and weaknesses of these approaches against more formalized methods. It also notes a lack of shared information among the funders who are developing these new methods, and it documents some of their practices for the benefit of other funders interested in new methods of evaluation.
