The Cleveland Museum of Art is scheduled to finish its eight-year, $350 million expansion and renovation in December. Already, however, it’s getting kudos for the new educational framework it’s wrapping around its world-renowned collection.
The museum announced today it is making good on a prestigious matching grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities that will help provide permanent funding for new educational programs.
In November, the museum received the promise of a $500,000, three-to-one matching grant from NEH. Today it shared that it has raised the first $300,000 in local private grants, triggering release of the first $100,000 of the federal grant.
