The Coming Up Taller Awards recognize ten outstanding community arts and humanities programs that provide America's young people with creative learning opportunities outside their regular school day. The fourth annual awards program celebrates programs in Boston; St. Louis, Missouri; Sells, Arizona; Tallahassee; New York City; Reno, Nevada; Los Angeles; Covington, Kentucky; Philadelphia; and Dallas. The awards are sponsored by the President's Committee on the Arts and Humanities, the NEA, and the National Endowment for the Humanities.
